"What Makes a Real Man?"

"What makes a real man?"

This was the question I posted in my Advisory Class' private group.

It was after reading blogs pertaining to manhood that made me interested in asking the question to my students. My idea is to get a little perspective from them, especially most of them are you ladies, and so I posted...


I know most of you are young ladies, but in an young woman's perspective, how would you answer this question below...

"What makes a real man?" 

Needs not to be technical...

"I'll make my answer simple sir. A real man is someone who knows how to treasure a woman. Not in a way na maibbigay lahat ng gsto (like material things) but a man who is capable of gaining Respect, Trust and Love for his woman. ♥ and xempre ung God-fearing. :D " ~ Camille

MY TAKE ON THIS...

We could come up with words to answer the question, but for me, I would go back to the basics. To go back to the basic means to go back to the real intention of God in creating MAN.

A MAN LEADS. Man was specifically wired by God to lead(Gen. 1:26). In the book of Genesis it was Adam who was tasked by God to rule over His creation. Be it in the family, in the relationship, or even in every structure of this world... man is made by God to lead. Following God's design, A REAL MAN LEADS.

A MAN PROTECTS. Physiologically speaking men are stronger that women. God created men physically superior than women for a purpose and that is to protect them. Adam's failure to protect Eve led to the fall (Gen. 3). So in every relationship, more specifically with the opposite sex, men are bestowed the responsibility to protect the women. Therefore, A REAL MAN PROTECTS. 

A MAN PROVIDES. Fathers are suppose to be the providers of the family. Primarily,  it is with their toil that family survives. After the fall it was Adam's task to provide Eve and their family. So by design A REAL MAN PROVIDES for his family.

This for me is a REAL MAN... A MAN WHO LEADS, PROTECTS, and PROVIDES.
